Environmental Science Intern : Blacksburg, Virginia
EEE Consulting, Inc. has a part-time opportunity for a recent graduate or current student to work in our Blacksburg, Virginia office. The position will support field work including but not limited to: surface/groundwater sampling, wetland delineation, stream assessments, and threatened and endangered species surveys. Desk work will include data analysis, map preparation, and report preparation. The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, Forestry, Geography, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering, Soil Science
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS
- Good technical writing skills (demonstrated via a writing sample)
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- 20-25 hours/week of availability
Preference will be given to recent/pending graduates and students entering their junior or senior year of school.
Senior Environmental Scientist/Project Manager : Mechanicsville, Virginia
EEE Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist/Project Manager for a full time position in the Richmond (Mechanicsville) Virginia office working on environmental, infrastructure, and water resource projects. The successful candidate would lead projects and multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and planners, and would help prepare technical and qualifications based proposals.
Successful candidate will be expected to have technical expertise in the CWA, natural resources, environmental permitting and compliance, water resource investigations, regulated and hazardous materials, RCRA/CERCLA, and other environmental projects. Candidate must be able to manage multiple projects, develop project schedules; analyze and document environmental compliance; coordinate with others to determine requirements and incorporate feedback. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate with clients, contractors, outside consultants, government agencies and internal staff.

Water Resources/Stream Restoration Professional : Mechanicsville or Blacksburg, Virginia or Cary, NC
EEE Consulting, Inc. seeks a mid-level scientist or engineer with a strong background in stormwater, watershed planning, and/or applied stream restoration engineering. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science is required; a masters is preferred. PE is preferred; North Carolina Registration a plus. Three or more years of experience is required. Knowledge of stream restoration related drafting (AutoCAD, Microstation) and/or ArcGIS required and hydraulic (HEC/RAS) modeling is preferred. Immediate availability is a plus. Position located in Mechanicsville, VA, Blacksburg, VA, or Cary, NC.
Water Resources/Hydraulics Engineer : Mechanicsville, Virginia
Candidate should have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, a minimum of 5-10 years' experience in hydrology and hydraulic design. P.E. License preferred. Desired experience should include storm drainage design, stormwater management, BMP analysis and design, stream restoration, MS4 Program Planning, understanding of LID concepts and facility design, floodplain studies, familiarity with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, TR-55 and/or other similar hydrologic, hydraulic and drainage engineering design software. Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation Geopak Drainage and VDOT experience a plus. Virginia DEQ stormwater, erosion and sediment control certifications are preferred.
