Former Virginia Scrap (Roanoke)

3e performed a human health risk assessment for the Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP) through the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. Metals and PCBs were the primary constituents of primary concern at the site. The HHRA was part of site remediation efforts for the City of Roanoke.




Fairfax County Parkway Extension Groundwater Modeling

3e developed a comprehensive dewatering plan using the groundwater model MODFLOW. The dewatering plan addressed the contaminated plume and its fate and transport over the course of the two year construction project and for the future following construction. The modeling analyzed three groundwater plumes from three different sources and predicted the concentrations and timing when the plume would reach sensitive receptors or proposed cuts for the roadway and utility lines.
