Example Projects
Mount Rogers Correctional Facility, Grayson County, VA
3e completed wetland delineations assessment, secured a jurisdictional determination and acquired permits from the USACE and VDEQ. 3e prepared a comprehensive 1,300-foot stream restoration plan and a 0.9 acre wetland restoration plan for the 0.8 square mile drainage to Peach Bottom Creek to compensate for unavoidable project impacts.
Pine Run Stream Mitigation Site, Pulaski County, VA
3e was responsible for the surveying, design, CADD hydrologic analysis, wetlands and Waters of the US delineation, and permitting (Clean Water Act and Sub-Aqueous Bed Permit and Water Protection Permits) for 7,300 stream credits from stream restoration and a three acre wetland mitigation bank for VDOT in the New River watershed.
The project involved wetland and stream delineation, stream channel design, HEC RAS analysis, riparian buffer establishment, sediment transport modeling and HEC RAS modeling, permitting with DEQ Water Protection Permit, USACE Section 404, and VMRC Sub-aqueous Bed Permit, and preparation of design plans and bid documents. 3e used reference reaches to identify the sinuosity, grade, and natural features that served as models for natural stream design for the restoration. The design called for plunge pools, boulder placement, j-hooks, and raising the elevation of the stream to reconnect to its floodplain.
Bolen Park Stream Restoration/Preservation and Permit Modification, Loudoun County, VA
3e completed a stream restoration and preservation plan project by Loudoun County through our ID/IQ contract. 3e was responsible for developing a stream mitigation plan to offset impacts associated with unavoidable stream and wetland impacts associated development of a 460 acre property to serve as a regional park. The project included the development of a stream/wetland mitigation plan, including performing stream and riparian assessments on over 17,000 linear feet of stream.
